Welcome to the K0DXC Website

Hello!
I am Cal, a 13 year old Amateur Radio operator residing in Jackson, Ohio. I have been a ham for 3 years now. In June of 2005 I was licensed with as KC0USZ. Last summer I upgraded to General and received the vanity callsign K0DXC. I hope to receive my Extra class license in June of 2008. I enjoy contesting and DXing and I am a very active radio operator. In this site you will learn more about me.

I am a member of the U.S.A. HST (High Speed Telegraphy) team.

I was also on TV July of 2008. I was interviewed by John Gross, a photojournalist for KSTP 5 eyewitness news. It was a promotional video for Amateur Radio that has been aired on TV a few times. Here is the link to the KSTP website where you can see it…. It was also featured on the Amateur Radio Newsline http://www.arnewsline.org # 1615

John said that he might be able to make an uncut and extended version, most of the film he took isn’t shown on the video. He had me working the RAC contest, but all of it was cut out. Please send any comments or feedback on the video to K0DXC@arrl.net

In other news, I have moved to Jackson, Ohio as of the Middle of August. All of my antennas are still down so I am completely QRT except for a 2 meter HT that I use for some local repeaters in Jackson. We (my family and I) have found a house on 1.5 acres of land that we will be moving into on September 5. (The lady who previously owned the house is still living in it.) I am currently living in a hotel. School has started already and I am having a great time living in Ohio. I would like to give a big thank you to Tim, K3LR for the help he has given me in my move to Ohio.
