Happy 2009! Best of luck!
Welcome to YoungHam!
Welcome
to YoungHam! We are an online community devoted to radio, both amateur
and professional, and electronics for young people. Often dismissed by
many, radio is seen to be an old technology, but really amateur radio
and electronics are paving the way in technical innovation -
commodities like WiFi and the mobile phone are all developed from
amateur radio technology. And unlike mobile phones, radio can be used
to talk anywhere, anytime, and for free. Electronics also plays a vital
role too, with homebrew and modifications, as well as standalone
projects bringing many happy hours to many. And so, our online
community is to awaken the many young people into technology, and give
them a place of refuge. Welcome, and enjoy your stay.

Ode to Louis Varney G5RV Behold
the old man who walks alone on the wold while the moon recasts ancient
shadows on secrets untold. I asked "Why" the airwaves crash like the
waves at the sea; because all is one. He smiled, all echoes
with eternity. Then the Cosmic Mariner of Ionosphere, unseen, left old
Plato's cave and humanity's collective dream. Aaron McBride MI3WQT, 2008
